Saturday

London Wolves 9 v 1 Fulham Flames

The first game of the first tournament Pitted the Wolves against the Flames and they beat us Comfortably.

Croydon Pirates 15 v 4 Fulham Flames

Our next game was against the first division Pirates and they gave us a hiding the Pirates weren't even out of first gear.

Catterham A's 11 v 4 Fulham Flames

We faired better against the second division A's though the score doesn't show the fact that we had them against the wall for the first couple of innings then they broke away with the game at the end.

Sunday

Bracknell Blazers 10 v 8 Fulham Flames

On Sunday we gathered together for the next couple of games not knowing what was around the corner for us. Steven (Joe) Jarnet was catching the game and Wayne Nash was Pitching. Wayne through down a breaking ball to the plate and the batter swung the bat. He hit the ball up and to the right of the catcher in foul territory. Steve jumped up from his position and ran towards where the ball was heading to land. On the run he launched himself towards the ball arms and glove out stretched ,Steve did not know that there was a metal bar standing out of the ground that a wooden seat was surpposed to be. Steve landed on the corner of the metal bar his arms hit first then his head he had to be rushed to hospital and forty stitches had to be stitched to repair his nose and forehead. we finished the game but with our comrade being rushed to hospital our heads weren't in the game and we ended up loosing the game and wayne ran back and forth from the hospital to the tournament the flames didn't play the last scheduled game.
