Usually stats-based, awards for best fielder, hitter, pitcher and rookie are the main categories where awards are given.

The ultimate award is to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, where your entire career is looked at.

The main awards are MVP (Most Valuable Player), Cy Young Award (Best Pitcher), Gold Glove Award (Best Fielder), and Rookie of the Year. There are many other awards, but like in Major League Baseball, these are always the most sought after.

Most Valuable Player The award given to the player who is deemed most valuable to the team with respect to hitting, fielding and leadership skills.
